Roar Fitness Extension
This project involved partial demolition of an existing indoor sporting structure to facilitate the construction of a new 550m2 concrete mezzanine, to provide a new weights room, workout studios and office amenities. The building contract also included the addition of a standalone 900m2 cross-fit facility, which was constructed from concrete tilt-up walls and a structural steel roof frame.
This recreational facility continued to operate during the construction process, therefore the construction methodology and programme were carefully managed to ensure that safety was prioritised throughout the build, in order to protect the customers while maintaining a fluid work flow to achieve the required timeframes.
